I had never traveled with gate 1 before so i didn t know what to expect.

I did all of them. With gate 1 there are optional tours which i would recommend as well. This was my third gate 1 tour and will not be my last. The accommodations were in very nice hotels in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.
